ID cards are mass distributed in Zbrojnice (Biskupské nám. 1), in the hall on the third floor in order to avoid longer waiting period during the signing of the Contract to borrow ID card.
WHERE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT – where to put credit to the ID card for canteen and xerox services
New students must go to the cash office of canteen at tř. 17. listopadu 54 and create an account. Students can put money to the ID card at the canteen cash office, servery in Holice or in Neředín canteen buffet. Online encashment can be set up for the canteen – more at http://menza.upol.cz/WebKredit

Student can collect the remaining credits in cash at the computer administrator in Zbrojnice or at Central Library (1st floor, desk B). Student must bring their ID card with them.
Canteen credits can be collected even after the end of studies and after students return the ID card at the ID card office. Credits are returned in cash at the cash office at main canteen at tř. 17. Listopadu 54, after students show their ID card or passport to the office administrator. It is possible to send the credits to the student’s bank account after arrangement with the cash office administrator in exceptional cases. Computer centre and ID card office does not have access to the remaining amount of credits on your ID card account.
Students should return their card as stated in the Contract to borrow an identification card, i.e. 30 days at the latest after they finish their studies. Students lose their deposit after the Deadline. Deposit is returned in cash.
Identification card can be returned to the ID card office via postal service only in exceptional and justified cases. The deposit is returned to student‘s bank account. Each case is judged by a Computer Centre employee for its legitimacy.
→ Renewal of validity of the international ISIC card by purchase of the revalidation stamp
The preferred way of payment for the validation stamp is via online payment gate at Portal of Palacký University in My studies – My payments section using „Pay Online“ button. Students do not have to bring any proof of payment when collecting their validation stamp as the payment is traceable by a Computer Centre employee within 5 minutes after the payment. Students can collect the validation stamp almost immediately at the distribution spot or at ID card office.
Validation stamp can be paid via bank transfer (account no.: 19/1096330227/0100) or via postal order (Univerzita Palackého, Křížkovského 8, 779 00 Olomouc). Both methods require student to enter a correct variable symbol (it can be found in the “my payments” section), which can be found there from the beginning of September. When the status of payment is not “paid” even if you have paid for the stamp, bring a proof of payment (statement of account, payment slip) with you when you come to collect your validation stamp. The payment was not probably paired with your account.
Validation stamp is used for inclusion into the national database of valid ISIC cards and for verification of ISIC card validity for discount providers.
Validation stamp can be purchased after the enrolment to the next year of studies.
Revalidation stamps are distributed at predetermined locations after the distribution of ID cards to first year students. Distribution takes place within a limited period (three weeks in October, one week in January) at a predetermined place outsithe ID card office. Information regarding stamp distribution will be published at Portal.
Students who will be at a foreign study stay before the beginning of the academic year and are enrolled to studies, can collect their stamp earlier, usually during August at the ID card office at the Computer Centre (door no. 387). However, these students will not have a variable symbol generated yet. Therefore, they must pay for the revalidation stamp in cash at the ID card office. It is important that these students bring their finance agreement or subscription contract (issued by the Foreign affairs department of Palacký University) with them.
We ask students to send their questions and inquiries regarding new card, card change, card blocking, revalidations stamps or licence payments throught Helpdesk.

Your old card will be blocked once a new card is printed. New card will be activated on the following day. Remaining credits for canteen or xerox services will be transferred to your new card as well as list of books lent from library. Your passwords and building entrance rights are transferred as well.
Students who didn’t pay the validation stamp fee, but want to receive a new valid ISIC card must pay for the revalidation on-line before they come to collect the card at the ID cards office. Furthermore, students can pay in cash in the ID card office while the card is being printed. ISIC card have their validity printed on the front.
Your money will be transferred as well as your password. If you have ordered a meal on the same day as the day your card is printed you must pick up a meal ticket at a cashier’s desk in the main canteen. Next day’s order will be transferred to your new card. New orders using your new card are available before noon the day after printing of the card.
FoM or FoHS students who eat at the University Hospital canteen must report change of their card in UH office next to the canteen. New chip number will be then uploaded into their systems. You do not have to pick up a meal ticket, meals ordered on the day of card’s print are available.
Book loans are transferred. However, you will receive a new user ID number for university libraries (e.g. C000012345). User ID number is used by students who order books they want to lend on-line. You will receive your new number from the library employees at desk B or at ID card office when receiving the card. You must inform the employees of Olomouc Research Library about change of your ID card and let them update your new card number into their system.
- Xerox services
Your credit and login will be transferred. If you experience issues with the credit transfer, go to computer network administrator in the ground floor in Zbrojnice (next to the computer room) or to desk B in the library. This service is available also at library at Theoretical institutes.
Foreign students who had their pseudo-birth code changed in STAG and who received a new printed card use their generated pseudo-birth code from the first card as a password for printing.
Your new ISIC card will have a new licence number in case of loss/theft (under photography). If a student has bought a monthly/quarterly season ticket, he/she must inform DPMO employees about the licence number change in order to have it correct for possible revision control ticketing in public transport.
Students enrolling to Palacký University Olomouc cannot use ISIC cards issued outside Palacký University as UP Olomouc card contains a chip, which is the holder of information enabling access to all Palacký University systems – canteen, buffet, accommodation at dormitories, book loans at libraries of Palacký University, access to buildings, etc. Validity of ISIC distributed at UP can be prolonged throughout the whole study period by a purchase of a revalidation stamp.
Therefore, ISIC distributed by another institution would not work at electronic services at UP. You can own more international ID cards.
Students who enter the first year studies again within one or more faculties at PU do not have to send a request for a new card if they do not change a form of study (full-time to distance and vice versa).
Students transferring from FoM or FoHS to another faculty or vice versa must request a new ID card as their card serves as an ID tag for the University Hospital. (ID card is distinguished by a coloured line on the right edge of the card).
Validation stamp for a new academic year can be paid from September via Portal UP (section "My study" - "My data", section "Student fees and claims", "Student outstanding debt - what the student is obliged to pay" - line "Poplatek za validační známku" [i.e. Payment for the validation stamp]. There is a "Pay online" button on the right side of the line. Students can then pay the fee via their bank card.). Validation stamp can be collected in the second half of September (detailed information will be published on the Portal news). Payment and prolongation of the validity of international ISIC ID card is not compulsory. ISIC will remain only as a student ID card at UP.
If a student of follow-up studies wants to have a new ID card (e.g. loss, damage, theft of the ID card), they must pay the deposit in the online application form (and validation payment for the ISIC card), fill and send the online request for an ID card with an appropriate photography.
Students who have finished their bachelor studies and who will continue with their studies at master’s level do not have to pay the deposit of 200 CZK for a new ID card. If students change the form of studies from full-time to combined, they must apply for a new identification card and they must pay the deposit (pay online button in online application form). They will receive a standard blue ID card. As for ISIC card, the validation stamp must be purchased (see validation and stamp distribution).
If you did not pay online and you have forgot to enter your variable symbol (which can be found at https://prihlaska.upol.cz), the card will not be ready for collection during the mass dispensation.
You send the information needed via e-mail or you can come to ID card office in person in order to search for your payment (only in case of lost proof of payment). Bring the number of bank account from which you sent the payment along with a date of payment. In case you lost the payment slip, find the specific number of your post office, from where you sent your payment along with at least an approximate date of payment.
You must select the block print option in online application form, after your surname is changed, contact your study department, which should change your name in STAG. Then search your name in https://portal.upol.cz after login in order to see if the change was already made. Only then you can come to the ID card office. Your card will be printed immediately.
Students are not registered in STAG on the day they enrol to studies. Then their data must be generated (login, STAG number, e-mail address, ID number etc.). If the enrolment is later than in standard period and students should collect their card later during academic year. However, be aware that the card is not active on the day of the print. It is activated the next day.
Foreign students must keep their original pseudo-birth code from their previous studies. If you have generated yourself a new pseudo-birth code, go to Helpdesk in Portal or contact us via e-mail in order to get the pseudo-birth code fixed to the original one. Then there is no need for getting a new ISIC, you just need to get a revalidation stamp. If you have a room reserved at dormitories with the new pseudo-birth code, you must inform the Accommodation and dining department regarding the change of the birth code.
If the length of studies is longer than one month and the students does not own an ISIC cardfrom their home or an UP standard blue ID card university and they would like to own Palacký University card, students can pay the deposit 200 CZK and 250 CZK license fee (only ISIC card). Students shall pay these fees at the main cash office of Palacký University (left side of the courtyard of th Rectorate building, Křížkovského 8), total price for ISIC card is therefore 450 CZK, standard blue card deposit fee is 200 CZK. Students should then bring your Application form of identification card, photography and proof of payment to ID card offices (Zbrojnice building, Biskupské náměstí 1, 2nd floor – ISIC signs), or to you study officer or foreign study stay coordinator. If the student is going to pay via postal order or via bank transfer, then the student must use the variable symbol 99968061 and specific symbol is birthcode (for students from Slovakia) or date of birth.
You must inform Computer center in person or by e-mail. You card will be blocked within 24 hours. If your ISIC card was stolen or lost, you lose your ISIC licence (ISIC number, validation stamp). Payment for a new card shall be made at the main cashier’s office at the Rectorate building (left part of the Rectorate courtyard, Křížkovského 8). Bring the proof of payment to Computer Center to ID card office (Biskupské náměstí 1, Zbrojnice, 2nd floor – ISIC signs). You card will be made on the spot and will be active the next day. ISIC card validity is printed on the front side of the card.
If you study full-time and you do not prolong your ISIC card validity, you can get a standard UP card, which however does not offer any of advantages of the ISIC card (discounts etc.).
If your card is damaged then you have to pay a new deposit fee for a new card at the main cash office of Palacký University (left side of the courtyard of the Rectorate building, Křížkovského 8). You will receive a payment receipt which you should bring with you to ID card office at Zbrojnice (Biskupské náměstí 1, 2nd floor, room 3.87). You will then receive a new card. The card will be activated the next day.
If you own ISIC card with a valid license, then the license will be transferred to the new card without any extra payment.
If your card is not visibly damaged, go to the ID card office first, where the state of the card will be considered. If the card lost its functionality, you will get a new card printed free of charge.
If the students keep their ID card during their interruption of studies then the card is electronically reactivated upon their return to studies and the student does not lose their deposit fee.
You should return the card as stated in the Contract to borrow an identification card which each student signs before receiving the card – as stated in Article II., paragraph 3. Student does not have to return the ID card and can use the ISIC card until the end of licence outside UP for the rest of the calendar year. That is a standard procedure.
You can authorize any person acting on your behalf (using the appropriate form) to return the card and receiving the deposit back, if you cannot return the card in person.
The card can be returned via postal services only in exceptional cases with a formal written request to return the deposit to the bank account. However, this is not a standard procedure and due to the occupancy of the economic department it is accepted only if a student is abroad or he/she ended his/her studies for health reasons. The reason for sending back the deposit to your account must be part of your request.
If you pay the validation stamp fee via Portal UP online, you can collect your stamp within five minutes after the payment. The payment will be paired within the system after a few days when it is processed by the economic department of UP. When the payment is processed, the system will display “Paid” status.
If the payment was made via bank transfer and the payment still has “Unpaid” status, you must bring your payment order in order to receive the validation mark. Please note that when confirming the payment, your statement does not display variable and specific symbols identical to those entered according to the UP Portal.
Thanks to the joint project of the Research Library in Olomouc (VKOL) and UP and thanks to the cooperation of both institutions, UP students (and employees) can use their identification card as a VKOL reader's card, thus replacing their existing card issued by VKOL. The payment of the VKOL registration fee remains.
The use of an identification card for VKOL readers brings several indisputable advantages: in particular, increased protection against abuse if the card is lost and the use of one identification card instead of two.
Yes, ISIC is your student card and it is used to give you fare discount.
The exchange should take place immediately after the end of your studies. Laboratory and building access must be set in cooperation with a head of department or his/her assistant as your entrance profile changes from student to employee.
You canteen account changes from student to free account and you will first use up money from your student account and then you lunches will be paid from your income.
